harryMr. Mitterbauer has always been involved in athletics and fitness. As a young child growing up in Austria he began skiing at the age of two! By the time he was 16 years old, he was competing on the international Alpine Ski Circuit. As he began to advance towards competing professionally, a serious knee injury ended this opportunity. Mr. Mitterbauer continued to enjoy other sports and continued on to be a competitive soccer player.

After being drafted into the Austrian Army he spent a year in training and was able to join the United Nations Peace Force. As a peacekeeping soldier he spent two years in Cyprus, Syria and Golan Hights. Mr. Mitterbauer has a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Movement Science from the Sports University of Salzburg in Austria.

Mr. Mitterbauer continued with post-graduate studies and became a Certified Personal Trainer thru the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). He received the advanced degrees of Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) and Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) thru the NASM, the most highly respected institution in the fitness industry.

Mr. Mitterbauer believes that his real life experience as a former athlete allows him to understand the needs, requirements, mental strength, physical and psychological demands placed on athletes. The knowledge he has thru his certifications as a PES/CES gives him the ability to recognize and understand the application of human movement science, specifically functional anatomy, kinesiology, biomechanics, physiology and motor control

As a PES, integrated training is chosen to make intelligent choices with regards to training, reconditioning and rehabilitation. This will deliver impeccable results in performance enhancement of the athlete. Integrated training components involve flexibility and balance training, core stabilization, reactive and integrated speed training. Mr. Mitterbauer is also educated on nutrition and natural sports supplementations.

As a CES, Mr. Mitterbauer uses a systematic process of identifying a neuro-musculoskeletal dysfunction to develop a plan of action. He will implement the proper corrective strategy. Mr. Mitterbauer has advanced knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully work with clients suffering from musculoskeletal impairments, imbalances or post rehabilitation concerns.
